Project description
Artwork transport, handling and installation for the French artist Théo Mercier. The photographs document different stages of our work with his sculptures—from careful handling and preparation to transport and final presentation in the exhibition space.
Théo Mercier is a French sculptor and stage director, born in Paris in 1984. His multidisciplinary practice moves between sculpture, installation and live performance, while exploring relationships between objects, history, landscape and representation.
Most photographs show Nikita Goluban during artwork installation, transport, or exhibition openings (vernissages). Another photograph, taken in Théo Mercier's studio, shows our driver Jakub Blaszczyk—an excellent driver, a transport professional and a person with very strong technical skills. His experience and practical knowledge were particularly valuable when handling and transporting artworks.
These assignments required particular care because of the dimensions, unusual forms and fragile surfaces of the artworks. I worked with Théo Mercier from the beginning of my company and supported his projects for approximately eight years with transport, installation and storage services.
